Racial Justice Book Club- How To Be An AntiRacist

August 11, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Billings BIPOC Lives Matter Community Action Group is starting a monthly racial justice book club to facilitate racial justice education and discourse in the Billings community!

Join us as we read and discuss “How To Be An Anti-Racist”, by Ibram X. Kendi

The first event will be held at Kirk’s Grocery on August 11th at 7 p.m. Given the nature of COVID-19, we may also be switching to a Zoom meeting, to be discussed at a later time.

During the event, we will have one community member give a brief summary of the book (as best as possible) for those who weren’t able to finish the text, and continue on with discussion questions (to be posted soon!) for group discourse.

While we encourage buying the book from a Black- owned bookstore, we recognize that purchase/library checkout volumes are high right now and some may not have the means to buy this book or get it on time.
You can find a free e-text at bit.ly/black-texts-2

Join us as we continue to take action in our community through education!

And if you are interested in leading a summary/discussion question or have a text in mind you’d like to discuss at a future book club event, message us and we can work something out!

Thank you!
